The experience of catching a flight can sometimes feel like time is flying by faster than you’d like. I like to spend time dining at Luxembourg Airport. Read on to discover my favourite places to relax and grab a bite to eat.

Quick Snacks

Before Security

Usually, by the time I get to the airport I can feel my stomach rumbling so I stop at either Oberweis Shop or Starbucks for something light before I pass through security.

The delicious aroma of freshly baked bread wafting from Oberweis Shop makes it practically impossible to resist visiting. If you decide to go here, expect to find a wide range of delectable pastries and a seemingly unlimited selection of baked goods. Trust me, it’s worth picking up something here.

Starbucks is also one of my favourite places to grab a steaming cup of fresh, aromatic coffee to compliment my pastry. Of course, you can also pick up a number of delicious snacks, both sweet and savoury, at Starbucks too.

After Security

If I’m in a rush I sometimes hurry through security before realising I haven’t stopped for a bite to eat. Luckily, there are still several places where you can grab a quick snack after security so if this happens to you, don’t fret! Head down to Level -1 and you’ll find Panopolis in the Schengen area and Petit Moselier in the non-Schengen area. These two eateries are great and I absolutely love stopping at them if I’m looking for something fresh and healthy to eat on the go.

Panopolis is perfect if you want to pick up a delicious sandwich or a fresh salad. From time to time, I also like to treat myself to a coffee and a small pastry while I’m here to top up my sugar and caffeine levels before a long flight.

Petit Moselier also has an impressive range of fast, light snacks available, as well as a selection of regional wines and local beers. Of course, if time is of the essence you probably won’t have time to properly appreciate a glass of wine!

Moselier is also a great place to go for a bite to eat. Depending on when I’m flying, I’ll usually come here for breakfast in the morning or for a relaxing glass of wine in the evening. Moselier does a great breakfast and it’s only made better by the delicious coffee served there, perfect to perk you up before a long flight!

Relaxing Meals

If I arrive at the airport with plenty of time to spare, or if I’m looking for a proper meal after my flight, I’ll usually go to one of the restaurants that can be found before security on Level 1. The Oberweis Restaurant and the Comptoir du Bon Pays are both located here and it can sometimes be a challenge to decide which one to eat at. I usually just let my stomach do the thinking!

The Oberweis Restaurant, with its lavish wooden interiors and its mouthwatering menu, is a spectacular place to go for a meal. There’s nothing I love more than sitting down to a delicious meal in one of the comfortable seats by the window overlooking the runway. I often find myself plane spotting and trying to imagine what destination each of the planes are embarking to.

Comptoir du Bon Pays is a self-catering restaurant perfect for a quick lunch. What I love about Comptoir du Bon Pays is that the menu changes daily and there’s always a meal of the day offer to choose at a very reasonable price so there’s always a reason to come back. It also has a fantastic salad bar that I find myself coming back to time and time again!

With such a great selection of places to eat and snacks to choose from, dining at Luxembourg Airport guarantees that you’ll never fly on an empty stomach!
