September 19, 2017

Flights to Birmingham will be discontinued in Winter Season

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, has confirmed that, as part of its 2017-18 winter schedule, it will increase the number of direct flights from Luxembourg to Manchester Airport, to six flights a week. Flybe started flying from Luxembourg to Manchester a little over one year ago and it proved to be a popular route for business travellers but also for city trips and football fans who love to fly to the city to watch a game of Manchester United or Manchester City, two of the top football clubs in the UK.

Flights will operate every day excepting Saturdays and seats are available now for booking at www.flybe.com for travel between 29th October and 23rd March 2018. One way fares are from €38 including taxes and charges. The flights depart from Luxembourg at 21:10h and arrive in Manchester at 21:55h. The return flights depart in Manchester at 18:00h and arrive at 20:45h in Luxembourg.

Passengers from Luxembourg can also take advantage of the many onward regional connections in the UK and Ireland available with Flybe from the airline’s successful Manchester hub.
Johan Vanneste, CEO of lux-Airport said: “I’m very happy that Flybe has decided to increase the number of flights to Manchester, the second largest city in the UK. Manchester Airport is also a major airport in the UK with many international connections. It is therefore important for Luxembourg Airport to be connected to such a well-established hub.”

The flights to Birmingham will be discontinued at the end of October.
