Individuals from particular countries outside the European Union wishing to visit, transit through or work in Luxembourg may be required to show a valid travel document with a visa issued by a consular authority within the Schengen area. This will allow free movement within Schengen countries.

The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs recommends Luxembourg nationals and residents who are currently abroad, especially outside of the Schengen space, and depending on their particular situation, to check with their travel agency and/or airline for return flights to Luxembourg.
