On the 1st of September Flybe started its new year round service between Luxembourg and Manchester. Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, is the fourth new airline starting services from Luxembourg Airport this year.
Current flights to Manchester will increase to twice daily on weekdays and once a day at weekends from the 1st of October. One way fares are from €40 including taxes and charges and are available for booking, together with full schedule details, at www.flybe.com
Manchester is the fourth UK destination linked directly with Luxembourg. It will be followed in October by Birmingham also operated by Flybe.
Passengers can also take advantage of many onward connections available with Flybe from its Manchester hub.
Vincent Hodder, Flybe Chief Revenue Officer, commented: “We are delighted to be launching our first flights between Manchester and Luxembourg today. Not only is this a first for Flybe, it is also now the only direct route offered to Luxembourg City outside of London. It is a fantastic destination for both business and leisure travelers alike so we are thrilled to mark this special milestone. We have scheduled flight times to make day trips a real possibility as well as helping business travelers save on expensive hotel costs.”
Johan Vanneste, Chief Executive Officer of lux-Airport, the management company of Luxembourg Airport: “We are delighted to welcome Flybe as a new customer at Luxembourg Airport, starting today with their first route to Manchester in the UK, to be followed next month by Birmingham. I‟m convinced that these two new interesting destinations and the convenient connections to other UK destinations through Flybe’s onward connections will appeal both to the business community and to leisure travelers from the greater region.”
