lux-Airport supports Unicef World Children’s Day

This is the first time ever that lux-Airport is participating in UNICEF’s #GoBlue week. From 13-20 November 2023, the terminal at Luxembourg Airport is illuminated in blue—a powerful visual expression of solidarity with children worldwide. It is important to emphasize that these blue lights are not mere decorations but integral to the #GoBlue campaign. To ensure awareness, lux-Airport initiated hourly terminal announcements detailing the campaign and its collaboration with UNICEF.
“Promoting the visibility of children’s rights and giving them a voice is particularly crucial in our current times,” emphasizes Alexander Flassak, lux-Airport’s CEO.

In addition to the symbolic illumination, lux-Airport actively engaged in a children’s takeover event. Six children were granted the unique opportunity to gain insights into various airport-related roles. They eagerly handled tasks such as providing information at the InfoDesk and assisting with security by pre-sorting hand luggage for checks.
