A gathering of aviation lovers – where breathtaking images spoke straight to the heart
On June 5th, 2025, we had the pleasure of celebrating one year of the Plane Spotters Afterwork Club with a special edition event held at the Skypark Business Center (copper building besides the Luxembourg Airport Terminal).
The evening brought together more than 100 aviation enthusiasts for a lively and inspiring gathering. A key highlight of the night was the series of presentations by 12 dedicated plane spotters, who shared the fascinating stories behind their photographs and offered a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into their passion.
The evening was hosted by Rebecca Pecnik-Welsch, a true aviation enthusiast and the manager responsible for Marketing and Communications at Luxembourg Airport. As the person behind the idea for the Plane Spotter Afterwork Club, she led the evening with warmth, enthusiasm, and a genuine appreciation for the spotters — always keeping the focus on their stories and passion for aviation.
The spotters presentening were:
- Samuel Beisel
- Philippe Kaysen
- Romain Scholer
- Pit Rhein
- Frank Hilkhuijsen
- René Heisten
- Tim Wilwert
- Noah Mendes
- Yannick Scholer
- Julien Prussak
- Cyril André
- Serge Braun
Moreover guests enjoyed a close-up look at Pit Rhein’s impressive airport model — a true highlight of the evening, which will soon be on display at the terminal of Luxembourg Airport. The event was rounded out with delicious food and drinks, lively conversations among aviation fans, and a spontaneous spotting session on the Skypark terrace with stunning runway views.
We thank everyone who joined us in making this milestone such a success. The passion and energy of the community continue to grow — and we’re already looking forward to the next edition.
