Luxembourg, 19 September 2026 – Flight operations at Luxembourg Airport (ELLX) have resumed following the temporary suspension on the evening of Friday, 18 September 2026, due to the detection of unauthorized unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) in the vicinity of and subsequently over the aerodrome.
The temporary suspension of flight operations was implemented as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of passengers, airline crews, airport personnel and aircraft.
Luxembourg Airport continues to monitor the situation closely in coordination with the relevant authorities, air traffic services, airlines and operational partners.
Following the resumption of operations, some delays and disruptions may continue as airlines and airport partners work to restore normal flight schedules.
Passengers are advised to check the latest status of their flight directly with their airline before travelling to the airport.
